The institutions below are approved to offer degrees in Minnesota. The institutions marked online only offer all degrees and/or non-degree programs exclusively online.
Other Minnesota institutions that are not subject to registration will not be included in the list. These institutions are able to offer degree programs to Minnesota residents but may not have been reviewed by our office. These institutions include:
- Seminaries and other religious institutions
- Schools licensed by other state agencies
- Private career schools licensed by the office
- Minnesota public institutions including University of Minnesota and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities
- Tuition-free or nearly tuition-free educational courses
- Institutions approved to participate in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA)
