The Office of Higher Education administers several state and federal programs with statewide impacts. Competitive grants provide funds to higher education institutions (public, private, and tribal), businesses, and community organizations to advance postsecondary education opportunities.

Dual Training Grant

Pairing on-the-job training with related instruction to generate a comprehensive platform for learning

Hunger Free Campus

Helping colleges and universities address food insecurity by achieving and sustaining a Hunger Free Campus designation.

Concurrent Enrollment Grant Program

This grant helps colleges expand opportunities for students to earn high school and college credit through concurrent enrollment course offerings.

Inclusive Higher Education Grants

Increasing inclusive postsecondary education opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disability in Minnesota.

Intervention for College Attendance Program

This grant provides funding to programs that encourage college attendance for historically underserved students, bridging the gap between K12 education and their postsecondary education.

David J. Tomassoni ALS Research Grant Program

This grant provides funding for translational research that leads to the prevention, functional improvement, and curative efforts for people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
