Program Overview
The Aspiring Teachers of Color Scholarship was a pilot program that was not funded beyond the 2024-2025 academic year.
Minnesota Aspiring Teachers of Color Scholarship Pilot Program provides postsecondary financial assistance to eligible undergraduate and graduate students who are preparing to become teachers, have demonstrated financial need, and belongs to a racial or ethnic groups underrepresented in the state’s teacher workforce.
Complete applications must include the following:
- Aspiring Teachers of Color Scholarship application
- Completed FAFSA or Minnesota Dream Act application
- Financial data form submitted by the Financial Aid Office
The financial data form should not be submitted if a student has not completed the financial aid process at their institution for federal and state aid.
