The landscape of credentials has been shifting rapidly with changes to education, technology, and the labor market, with non-degree credential offerings growing and gaining traction. States are increasingly adopting rigorous, data-driven frameworks to define and evaluate quality non-degree credentials that translate to opportunity for jobseekers.

The objective of this project was to identify non-degree credentials available to Minnesotans that are aligned to occupations that meet demand and wage thresholds as articulated in the Minnesota P-20 Education Partnership’s 2023 Quality Credentials of Value Framework. Alignment of credentials to occupations was established based on employer demand as observed in job posting data.
